Sri Lankan cuisine shows the influence of Indian, Indonesian, Dutch, and Portuguese diets with its own spin and flavours. With Sinhalese, Tamil and Muslim communities, there are slight differences in the food consumed but rice, curries, and fish are staples. Coconut is also a dominant ingredient in Sri Lankan food. We explore how the cuisine can be made more sustainable, with its inherent roots in reducing waste. Recommendations by @dietitian_fareehajay 🌱🌏
Every region in Pakistan is diverse as far as food choices are concerned. Overall, on a household level people eat lots of vegetables in the form of curries. Usually, they are eaten with meats such as chicken, lamb, mutton, and beef. We explore how to make the Pakistani diet more sustainable as per recommendations by @dietitian_fareehajay 🌏🌱
